No Man's Sky Forsaken Adds Seamless Warping as the Game Launches on iPhone

Hello Games' latest free update brings new ships and cockpits, a minimal HUD and haulage missions. It's Steam Deck Verified, and it's out on iOS today

Hello Games released Forsaken, another free update for No Man’s Sky, on October 28. The game launched on iPhone and iPad the same day.

What’s in Forsaken

Highlights from the update include:

  • Seamless Warping: in space, you can point your ship at a nearby star and travel there directly, without opening the galaxy map.
  • New ships, new cockpits and new corvette interiors
  • Forsaken Traders, Bio Specimens, the Grub Multi-Tool and a Larva Helmet
  • A Minimal HUD mode and a radial menu
  • Haulage missions, in which you deliver cargo across the galaxy
  • Space Holo-Arenas and the ability to upload space bases

According to Pocket Gamer, the update also adds abandoned space hulks and infested outposts to explore, plus a set of quality-of-life fixes. GamingOnLinux reports that another update is still planned.

Where to play

On PC, No Man’s Sky is Steam Deck Verified and runs on Linux through Proton. The iOS version supports newer iPhones and iPads, includes the Forsaken update, and lets you play the opening of the game for free before buying.
