NVIDIA puts $3B into Meta as Muse deal expands; AMD brings Muse Glimmer to Ryzen AI and Radeon

NVIDIA expands its Muse work with Vera Rubin deployments, AMD says EPYC powers Muse, and Meta's agent launches in Singapore.

Meta’s Muse AI agent picked up two big hardware partners’ backing on October 27.

NVIDIA: $3 billion and more Vera Rubin

NVIDIA and Meta announced they will expand their work on Muse and the Muse family of models to improve inference and training performance. Meta intends to expand its deployment of NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Vera CPUs for next-generation AI agents, along with Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4. The companies will also consider collaborating on NVIDIA’s OpenShell Reference Architecture, including OpenShell for safe deployment and NVIDIA Sentry for monitoring agent behavior.

“In addition, NVIDIA will invest $3 billion in Meta’s equity offering,” the release says.

AMD: EPYC behind Muse, Glimmer on Ryzen AI and Radeon

AMD said the same day that its EPYC processors support the dedicated computing environments behind Muse, and that its Helios rack-scale systems are installed and being tested at Meta. For PC users, the notable part: AMD delivered day-0 support for Muse Glimmer on Ryzen AI PCs and Radeon GPUs, and for Muse Spark Open on Instinct data center GPUs.

CNBC reports AMD will invest $1 billion in Meta, bringing the two chipmakers’ combined commitment to $4 billion, after Meta announced plans to raise $95 billion for AI infrastructure.

Muse arrives in Singapore

Meta also launched Muse in Singapore on iOS, Android and muse.ai, with local connector partners including Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada. Meta says Muse runs on Muse Secure VM, a dedicated cloud computer that keeps passwords and payment methods out of the agent’s view, and checks with the user before sensitive actions like sending an email or making a purchase. It’s free for most uses, with paid subscription plans.
