Roundup: OpenMW 0.52 Hits RC1, Glitch Boy Corrupts NES Games, Meta Muse Lands in Singapore, Petit Planet Goes Mobile First

Four quick stories for November 2, 2026

OpenMW 0.52.0 enters release candidate testing

The open-source Morrowind engine OpenMW published its first 0.52.0 release candidate on November 1, with a Linux Flatpak available from Flathub’s beta repo. The release notes warn that the save format has changed: saves from earlier versions load in 0.52.0, but saves made in 0.52.0 can’t be loaded in older releases. Gameplay fixes include combat AI going back to preferring closer targets, water-walking actors now drowning when knocked out, and immobile creatures no longer trying to wander. Known issues include possible driver timeouts with hardware antialiasing on AMD RX 6000 and 7000 GPUs, which the developers attribute to an AMD driver bug. More changes may come in later RCs.

Glitch Boy turns NES games into glitch art and chiptunes

Melted Electronics’ Glitch Boy is a device that runs NES games from an SD card on a display and lets you corrupt them in real time with two dials, according to Time Extension. One dial affects the emulated CPU, and the other affects the graphics processor. It also works as a MIDI-controlled 8-bit synth using the NES’s four-channel sound chip, and its software is open source. Time Extension reports pre-orders are open at €189 / $210 for both the standalone and Eurorack versions, with shipping expected in November. We couldn’t confirm the price or ship date on Melted Electronics’ own site.

Meta’s Muse AI agent launches in Singapore

Meta has launched Muse, its personal AI agent, in Singapore on iOS, Android and muse.ai, PhocusWire reports. At launch it connects with Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada, plus Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram, with some connector features rolling out later. Meta says Muse runs on a dedicated cloud computer called Muse Secure VM, keeps passwords and payment methods out of the agent’s view, and asks for confirmation before sensitive actions like sending email or making purchases. It’s free for most uses, with paid plans for extra features.

Petit Planet launches on mobile and PC first

HoYoverse’s free-to-play life sim Petit Planet launches December 4, 2026 on iOS, Android and PC, Pocket Tactics reports, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version following in 2027. The App Store listing shows the December 4 date and requires iOS 15 or later. Pre-registration is open on the App Store and Google Play.
